Overview of War of Enligtenment

War of enligtenment is a game is a turn based strategy game for 20 human players. Each human player has his own nation to rule. War of enlightenment consists of a user client program and an independent server program. The user client program is for the users (players). The client program allows the users to give orders for the game and send messages to the other players.

Even the game is based on multiplay gaming with single master server, it also includes the single player game.

Current Nations in the game are: Austria, Brandenburg, Crimea khanate, Denmark, England, France, Mamelukes, Morocco, Naples, Netherlands, Ottoman empire, Papal states, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Saxony, Spain, Sweden, Transylvania, and Tunis.

The game includes many features, as trade, manufactories, products, many different unit types (each nation has also different units), individual experience level and number of soldiers for each battalion in regiments... and many others.

Each nation is slightly different to play. In addition to the difference in location and size on the map, the cost to build armies and army types, tax incomes and resources are different for everything nation..

Players must register an account in order to play the game with the client program. After successful registration, a player can join a game of War of enlightenment to play a nation of his choice. New game will always start when there are 20 different players available for a new game of War of enlightenment.

When a player plays the game, he will receive the turns by using the client program. The client program connects to the server and Downloads the information about the game turn from the independent server program. Then he gives orders to his nation, the player moves the armies and the fleets, recruits armies and builds ships. In addition, a player can send messages to the other players within the game.

When the orders are ready, the player must then send the orders to the server before the processing time of the turn. The server will process the orders given by players and produce new turns for the players based on the events that occur during the turn. Even though this game is turn based, each player sends orders prior to the processing and the server will process the orders at the same time during the process time.

In order to play the game, you need an Internet connection that we do not provide for you. You need to have a connection to the Internet in order to receive your turn reports and messages from other players or to send orders for the next turn. In addition, if you Join a new game with the client, the client program must be able to connect to the server with the use of your Internet connection. However, you do not need to have the Internet connection open when you are just looking at your turns or giving the orders to the units. In short, when you receive something from the server or send orders to the server, you need to have the Internet connection open.

There is a two different game styles, three turns per week game, and seven turns per week.
