I have to quit hosting WOE, because no games have been running long time and there have not been 20 players joined in many months for same game.
WOE server started running at year 2005 and ended 2010, it was up about 5 years.
So, I thank all players that have played the game, but nothing last forever.
War of enlightenment is a turn based strategy game for 20 human players with single master server. War of enlightenment client includes also single player game possibility, so players can practice the game before they join to real multi player games.
In multi player games, each player rules his own nation and competes against the other Nations in orders to became the Emperor of Europe.
New games multi player games will start when 20 human players are joined to same game style.

ISP of WOE server will be down about 4 hours in 26th of Feb - 27th of Feb night (Sunday-Monday).
ISP will shutdown the server server connections around 23.00 (Sunday) and it should be up again in 03.00 (Monday night).

ISP of War of enlightenment (and westfalen) server makes some changes during 3rd of Jan - 11th of Jan.
The server may be down for few hours when they are doing those changes. It may take even few hours.
ISP is doing those changes in finnish night time 22.00 to 08.00, so the server might be few hours down during those times.

Christmas break is over, server starts running again normally.

Server of the War of enlightenment (and Westfalen) doesn´t make turns in these christmas days:
24th of Dec (Saturday)
25th of Dec (Sunday)

It´s because many people are off during these days, so it´s better the game server doesn´t make turns. (it was similar in last year with westfalen, during christmas).
So, these players who are off during christmas would lose less turns as possible.
Messages works normally during those days, except not in 25th day (Saturday). I may re-install all softwares of servers in 25th day, so server might be offline about 5-6 hours in 25th of Dec (Saturday). But otherwise, messages works during those

1.14 version gives also new rule change, ´secret mission´ in multi player games.
Purpose of missions is to get experienced players fights against eachs others, so they cannot play together in all of their games.
The mission is given before the game starts.
The mission is individual mission, if you get a mission ´eliminate Austria´, it means that no one else gets ´eliminate Austria´. Other players will get other missions.
Mission is given first from ´Hall of fame´ points and especiality from the games that players are played in the same game with others and survived to end. If you survive with one player in many games and not die, you will get most likely mission against him. (experienced players). Also it depends how far away Nations are from each others, so Russian player doesn´t get France as it´s secret nation target so easily.
If player cannot get mission from Hall of fame, then the mission is given randomly to player. (newbies).
If you success the secret misson and survive to end of game, you will get points to Hall of fame normally.
If you fail the secret mission and you survive to end of game, you will get only one (1) point to Hall of fame, no matter how well you are done in the game. But you will also get ´penalty´ in future secret missions, and you will get secret mission against this player again more easily untill your secret mission is succeesed and you are survived to end.
If you die in the game, nothing happens to you.

Server starts creating new gamefiles for players today, all multi player gamers needs 1.08 or 1.09 versions of client.

First official WoE game ended (WOE-4), and First version of Hall of fame is updated.

Update causes some changes to future gamefiles:
* You cannot open old single player games with 1.08 or 1.09.
* You can open old and new multi player gamefiles with 1.08 or 1.09.
* You cannot open new multiplayer game files with 1.07 version (or older). when server starts generating new gamefiles, saturday 13th of Aug)

Harddisk of WOE server was damaged on sunday 3rd of July. Server has new harddisk and I hope it works now.

First official WOE-multi player game started today, it´s game number 3. Game is three turns per week, and at the moment. 14 of 20 players are joined to seven turns per week game. New game will start always when 20 players has joined to same game.
